Gozo Heritage
In a fascinating old building a mixture of museum and good entertainment introduces the visitor, in an easy fashion, the way back to 7,000 years of the history of Gozo. Life size sculptures set in period environments animated by the latest electronic techniques give the visitor a ringside view of the checkered historical saga of Gozo. Starting at the beginning of time the visitor is transported to the present day, making stops within all the eventful periods of Gozo's history. During this journey through time one becomes familiar with the numerous colorful personalities who have contributed to the Island's rich history and folklore.

The Citadel and Museums
The Citadel of "Grain Castle" has an imposing cathedral, impressive historic bastions and the quaint remains of old houses. One of these so-called Norman houses, has recently been restored and set up as a folk museum. There is also a museum of archaeology and the Cathedral Museum National Science Museum.
The Cathedral
The first structure which one sees when entering the Citadel is the Cathedral designed by the Maltese Architect Lorenzo Gafa. This was built between 1697 and 1711. The most impressive in this cathedral is the flat ceiling in perspective which closes the aperture of the dome painted by Antonio Manuele of Messina in 1739.
Ġgantija Prehistoric Temples
The Oldest free standing structure in the world. A group of two very important temples erected side by side on the Xagħra plateau. Close by one can also find the 17 the Century Windmill. World Heritage Site - 7000 years old.
Stalactites and Stalagmites Underground Caves
In the small township of Xagħra are two underground caves with strange alabaster forms of stalactites and stalagmites. These are popularly known as Xerri's Grotto and Ninu's Cave.
Calypso Cave
This cave, overlooking the red sands of Ramla Bay situated in the cliff face some distance from Xagħra, has a legendry connection with Calypso, but also dominates one of the most inspiring views in Malta and Gozo.
Ta' Pinu Sanctuary
Amongst the outstanding churches in the Maltese Islands is the votive Sanctuary of Ta' Pinu. It stands in open country close to village of Għarb and the hamlet of Għammar.
The Inland Sea and Window (Dwejra)
The Inland Sea is a secluded pebbly bathing pool with crystal clear water and sheer cliffs hanging over it.
Fungus Rock (Dwejra)
Also called by the locals "The General's Rock". It is said that a commander of the Knights' of St. John discovered a shrub on this rock which was believed to posses great medicinal properties. In fact this rock was made only accessible by sea and only authorised persons could cross over.

Old Streets in Victoria
The old name of the town Victoria, ‘Rabat’ means simply the city. On the occasion of the jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887 the official name was changed in Her Majesty's honor. The town is picturesque.
St. George's Church sits in the heart of the old town and is wrapped in these centuries-old streets. The paintings in the dome are the works of Battista Conti of Rome. Other paintings are by Giuseppe Cali', Stefano Erardi, Francesco Zahra and Mattia Preti. The richly decorated statue of Saint George is remarkable – it was carved in wood by Paolo Azzopardi in the year 1841.
The area surrounding the Church itself is impregnated with history showing objects and indications of former cultures and settlements dating back to the Roman days.
The Museum of Toys Xagħra
In triq Ġnien Xibla, there is the Pomskizillious Museum, a private collection of toys from the nineteenth and twentieth century owned by Edwin and Susan Lowe. It’s name is clipped from the text of fantastic creatures and nonsense words of Edward Lear, who visited Gozo in 1866.
The Museum, set within two rooms of an eighteenth century converted farmhouse, was opened on 19 August 1992. There is a large collection of dolls and dolls' houses and an array of playthings for boys and girls from several parts of Europe.
